A Brief History:  Marlborough Community Choir was started by Vanessa Lafaye in November 2010 in the upstairs room of The Bear pub and soon transferred to St Peters.  Although not a performance choir, we’ve sung at many community events like the Marlborough International Jazz Festival and the Christmas Lights switch on.  Over the years we have raised over £4000 for the Brighter Futures Radiotherapy Appeal.  In 2012 Marlborough’s mayor, Edwina Fogg, awarded the choir a prestigious Waits Badge for recognition of our services to community music.  Waits Badges have been traditionally given to bands of minstrels who entertained at court since the time of Elizabeth I.  Since April 2018, following the Vanessa’s death, we’ve been led by Vicky Sweeney and Kate Rowe, both members of the Natural Voice Network.
